Check your current energy first, then assign tasks that fit it — matching demand to your fluctuating energy state prevents the mismatch that triggers avoidance. Drop 'eat the frog' as a default: leading with the most aversive task front-loads emotional friction and can stall the whole day.

A sugary, refined-carb hit spikes blood sugar and, alongside it, dopamine — which feels great briefly, but the steep drop that follows takes both down below baseline, leaving lethargy, poor focus and a renewed craving to re-spike.
